Love thyself

"Love thyself.  If no one, who else will? If you won't, no one else will."

Do not allow yourself to pity you. 

The world does not benefit nor rejoice on your putting yourself down. 

YOU are your most valuable thing. 

Before anything else, it must be yourself. 

To love yourself above others is never selfish.

How many times have you told yourself you are careless or stupid? 

Just because you tipped the glass and spilled the milk, doesn't mean you are stupid. 

Just because you didn't catch the falling crumb, doesn't mean you are a klutz.

 Some things just happen - only gravity is to blame. 

How many times have you punished yourself for a wrong move? 

How many times have you rewarded yourself for a job well done, then? 

How many times have you praised yourself for a great idea? 

Or pat yourself on the back for a good deed?

You see, we are our own child. 

We need spanking, as well as appreciation. 

We need a little punishment, as well as a little reward. 

Only WE know ourselves best. 

We can never fool ourselves - oh well, we can for some time but as we turn off the lamp, we know we are only fooling ourselves. 

And hurting ourselves as well.

Have you been doing well in school or at work? 

Then treat yourself to ice cream. 

Have you been slacking off your duties? 

Then punish yourself by doing an extra chore.

LOVE YOURSELF. If the Lord loves you much that He is willing to give up His life on the cross for you, why shouldn't you give yourself the love you need?

LOVE YOURSELF. You deserve it more than others deserving your love.

LOVE YOURSELF. You'll love yourself more for doing it.
